A journey through the Scottish Highlands tracing old roads built by General George Wade to control the region in the mid 1700's and later by Thomas Telford as part of a master plan to improve communications and trade links.

Wades High Bridge
Just a short walk from the Commando Memorial, we have walked to a old bridge built by General Wade in 1736, the steel bridge was laid across in 1894, the arch under collapsed in 1913.
